Title Competition for Dance and Tap Dance Soloists
The title competition is an additional competition open to the dance and tap dance soloists who pre-register for the regional competition they will attend. A separate entry fee will apply for the title performance. (Mini through Senior are eligible to register for the title competition.)
During the awards ceremony in which the soloists competed, the selected performers will be announced for a call back to perform 1 minute of their solo to re-compete for the title of TIA Tour. (When the schedule is developed for the specific city, there will be a time block for the callback section of the title competition.)
The teacher/student can pick the time frame of the minute they re-compete. Please hand these times into the registration before the session in which the re-compete. Music will have a 10-second lead into the time chosen. (If they picked 1:12, TIA staff would start the track at 1:02, and then they will perform their one-minute from 1:12-2:12, then the fade out will occur once the 2:12 mark hits.)
After this re-compete during that award ceremony, the title winner will be announced.
