Michael San Giovanni is an actor/director/producer/choreographer whose talents have propelled him to stages throughout the world including Japan, China, Singapore and Poland.
He has performed in numerous national and regional tours as well as the Broadway stage where among his most notable roles include Munkustrap in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony Award winning musical, Cats; Bernardo in West Side Story; Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; as well as leading roles in A Chorus Line; Damn Yankees, Grease, Man of LaMancha, La Cage aux Folles and Sheba, the largest Off-Broadway musical in history. He performed with Marvin Hamlisch and Elaine Strich at the 2005 Kennedy Center Spring Gala and has opened for Joan Rivers, Joel Grey and Marilyn McCoo. He can also be heard on the Nashville Symphony’s recording of West Side Story and the original cast recording of Sheba. His television credits include Law & Order, Another World, One Life to Live and All My Children. A resident of New York City, Michael is the founder of New York Originals, a Manhattan-based creative entertainment company for which he directs, produces and choreographs special entertainment events for venues throughout the United States including some of New York City’s most famous stages. |
