Nicholas CunhaFACULTY
Nicholas Cunha is a dancer. singer and actor and choreographer currently based in New York City. A graduate of the University of Toronto, he joined the Conservatory at Circle in the Square Theater on Broadway (KPOP, Fun Home, Once On This Island, Oklahoma!) as an apprentice. Nicholas has gone on to perform as a guest artist of New York City Ballet at NY City Center, Lincoln Center, Paper Mill Playhouse, the Shaw Festival and was most recently in the World Premiere of Summer Stock, a new musical starring Corbin Bleu. He is also an award-winning choreographer, having won the BroadwayWorld 2023 Award for Outstanding Choreography of a Musical for the first non-replica Canadian production of Chicago, receiving critical acclaim for introducing tap into this brand-new production. Nicholas has had the privilege of learning from, and passing down traditions in tap from icons such as Linda Garneau, Alison Plamondon, both in broadway tap and hoofing. Nicholas' love for the synergy of drama, music, and dance is infectious, and he is a regular teaching artist at both Circle in the Square and various institutions across the US and Canada. Nicholas is represented by CESD Talent in New York.
