Sarah Solie’s performing experience is multi-faceted. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Sarah has a degree in vocal music performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sarah started dancing at four, studying ballet, jazz, tap and theatre dance in Wisconsin, Chicago and New York City. After graduating from college, Sarah spent several years choreographing high school and junior high showchoirs and musicals, then went on to further her performing skills at Opryland USA, Disneyworld and Tokyo Disneyland. She has appeared in nine Broadway shows (Cats, Steel Pier, Mary Poppins, High Society, Beauty and the Beast, Lestat, Titanic, South Pacific and Annie) and in starring roles in regional theatre (Kathy Selden in Singin in the Rain, The Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Anna Leonowens in The King and I, Muriel Eubanks in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). She has appeared twice with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall and her voice can be heard on recordings for Disney films such as Enchanted, Home on the Range, Shaggy Dog and the 2017 live action Beauty and the Beast. For five years, Sarah also performed with and arranged music for the vocal jazz quartet MONDAY OFF, recording albums with jazz legends Bucky Pizzarelli and Gene Bertoncini. When not on the stage, Sarah is a private voice teacher and vocal coach who loves to work with kids of all ages in their pursuit of a future in theatre.
